Nicaragua Resort: Chef Arrives at Nicaragua Hotel

Resort in Nicaragua Welcomes New Hotel Nicaragua Chef

It's all coming together at our San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua resort.  Our new hotel chef, Geronimo Athuel Amaral, arrived today.  Although he was born in Brazil, Amaral is familiar with cuisines from around the globe and is especially experienced with Italian, Oriental and Brazilian cuisines.

Educated at Senac, a world-renowned culinary school, Amaral developed a keen understanding of menu development, kitchen management and plate aesthetics.  His food is absolutely amazing.  Formerly the chef at Miramar Surf Camp, the demands of a Nicaragua hotel venue are nothing new to Chef Amaral.

Geronimo has been developing his craft for seven years.  He is sure to be an excellent addition to our Nicaragua resort.

Beach Hotel Nicaragua: Hotel in San Juan del Sur Gets New Look

Nicaragua Beach Hotel: Hotel in San Juan del Sur Gets Remodeled

Our hotel in San Juan del Sur is upgrading its natural surroundings to form a beautiful beach hotel in Nicaragua. After consulting with landscaping services and nature reserves, we compiled a list of the most aesthetic plants that we could cultivate in Marsella, and thanks to careful research and hard work, our Nicaragua beach hotel looks better than ever.

The nature surrounding the Marsella Beachfront Hotel in San Juan del Sur is unrivaled.  Thanks to our location in the southern part of the country, we enjoy the complex plant life that northern regions do not.  This includes hibiscus flowers and many fruit-producing plants.  Our property is covered with coconuts, which are just as fun to cut down as they are to eat.

Below are some photos of the new landscaping at the Marsella Beachfront Hotel.

Surf in Nicaragua: Beaches in Nicaragua to SUP

Anyone planning a vacation to surf in Nicaragua should keep in mind that Nicaragua beaches offer some of the best stand up paddle boarding around.  With offshore wind, clear water and gorgeous headlands, the Playa Marsella Beach Front Hotel will introduce you to this trending watersport in one of the most exotic locations in San Juan del Sur.

Nicaragua Surfing: Best Nicaragua Beaches for SUP

Yesterday, we went on on a one hour trek to experience stand up paddle boarding in Playa Marsella.  Most of us had never tried the sport before and had a blast learning something new, fun and active.  Needless to say, this won't be the last time we stand up paddle board at the Marsella Hotel.

If you've read our other posts, you know that Playa Marsella is a secluded beach, enclosed by two towering cliffs.  This is the perfect scenery for an SUP session.  We paddled within a few feet of hollow caves, carved deep into the sides of the bordering headlands.  Playa Maderas is only a 15 minute paddle away, and when you journey around the cliff separating the two beaches, it's a whole new perspective of the ocean.

On the other side of Marsella, we paddled South, around the other headland and to an uninhabited beach.  The journey tool about 20 minutes, and the sight of waves pounding on high cliffs, producing incredible rock textures that only nature could create, made the experience both humbling and liberating.

Although, at the moment, there's not much demand for stand up paddle boarding in Nicaragua, this trending sport is sure to reach the tropical region of San Juan del Sur.  The aesthetic allure of the land and sea, and the forgiving nature of the clean waves, makes San Juan del Sur the perfect destination for paddle boarders.  At Playa Marsella Beach Front, we will have a selection of carefully chosen SUP designs that will interest beginners and even the most advanced paddle boarders.

Hotel in Nicaragua: Nicaragua Beach Hotel and Restaurant

Nicaragua Hotel: Beach Hotel in Nicaragua and Restaurant

What could make the best hotel in Nicaragua better?  Great food!  And not just great food--fresh seafood and pizza cooked in a Nicaragua-built brick oven.  That's what you can expect at our Nicaragua beach hotel.

We just finished putting a shingle roof on our outdoor seating area and the Playa Marsella Beach Font is transforming everyday.  When we began this project one month ago, no one could have guessed the quality of the outcome.

We're putting together a menu that features cuisine from New Orleans, the Mediterranean and Nicaragua.  We'll have everything from fresh lagosta to shrimp po' boys.  Our three-course menu will be developed soon and I'll have it posted here ASAP.

If you have any questions, want to make a reservation or come see the place before we open, email us at playamarsellahotel@gmail.com.

Vacation Costa Rica vs Nicaragua Beach Resort

Costa Rica Vacation or Beach Resort in Nicaragua?

So, you've decided on Central America, and naturally, a vacation to Costa Rica or a trip to a Nicaraguan beach resort are at the top of the "potential destinations" list.  But why not have your cake and eat it too?  Why not stay on the border of these two incredible countries, enjoy their natural beauties and experience a variety of activities that most resorts wish they could provide?  At the Playa Marsella Beach Front Hotel, this is exactly the type of vacation we provide.

But let's look at the facts...Costa Rica is a lot more expensive and suffers a more humid climate in many areas.  And at the Playa Marsella Beach Front Hotel, you're getting all the excitement of Costa Rica and more.

San Juan del Sur and Playa Marsella feature the exotic wildlife and nature of Costa Rica, including monkeys, mot mot's, hibiscus flowers and tropical plants.  Combine that with our hotel's traditional architecture and oceanfront view and you've got the whole package that Central America has to offer.  The infinity-edge waterfall pool doesn't hurt either.

We're also adding some new, fun activities to the list: disc golf, paintball and repelling.  Combine that with beach volleyball, surfing, spearfishing, diving and snorkeling, and it's hard to say that one week here is enough.

As we speak, our team is hard at work building a two-story, outdoor seating area for our restaurant.  Our food will draw inspirations from New Orleans, Mediterranean cuisine and traditional Nicaraguan dishes to create a stellar menu.

Beach Resort Nicaragua: Surf Nicaragua, Relax and Have Fun!

The last week has been a big one for our Nicaragua beach resort.  We welcomed three more guests to surf the best beaches in San Juan del Sur, we completed construction on the pool-side suites and we are making incredible progress with the Marsella Beach Front Resort kitchen.

Beach Resort in Nicaragua: The BEST Value!

The time truly seems to fly here at the Marsella Beach Front Resort and Hotel.  Just a few weeks ago, our team faced a laundry list of tasks that seemed daunting to say the least.  But today, the progress we have made has instilled a new energy and freshness that will propel us to the finish line.

We're still scheduled for a full-scale opening in mid- to late-July, and with the hype surrounding htis new beach resort Nicaragua, there's going to be no shortage of tourists at the Marsella Beach Front Resort in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua.

Next week, we leave for Miami to finalize the purchases of our main attractions: kayaks, beach volleyball, SUPs, snorkeling equipment, foosball and more.  Combine that with the infinity-edge waterfall pool, exotic nature and an unmatched view, and there's no hotel that provides a better all-around experience for guests.  With rooms starting at $17 per night, the Playa Marsella Beach Front Hotel is sure to be a hit from the start.
